Altered Clock Case
Hello everyone!
For the next few days I am going to share with you some projects I created for my participation to the Annual Prima Design Team Call. #PrimaDTCall
Summer is such an inspiring season and of course I’m always dreaming of discovering vintage treasures that are washed ashore on a deserted beach!
That is how I came up with the idea of turning an empty clock case - I used the mechanism on another project – to a vintage porthole.
I used some polymer clay to create the porthole and attach it on the clock case. I also used pieces of paper from Prima French Riviera Collection to cover the back side of the case inside and out. I also fussy cut a cute little boy holding a boat, from a journaling card of the same collection.
To embellish the case, I used Prima Junkyard Findings - Ship Parts and Prima Resin Embellishments – Seashells.
I also used lots of tiny real seashells that my daughters collect every year on vacation.
I used Art Basics Heavy Body Gel to glue everything. I applied a coat of Art Basics Heavy Gesso Whiteover the polymer clay and the embellishments and then painted the whole composition with acrylic paints in yellow, red, brown, teal and gold in order to achieve a vintage bronze look.
I really hope you like it!
Thank you for visiting my blog!
Until next time
