...
Ingredients for the base
-400g of plain flour (I use gluten-free)
-200g of coconut oil (Melted)
-8 tablespoons of maple syrup
Ingredients for the filling
-1 can of coconut cream (cream only)
-100g of dairy-free white chocolate + 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
-Pink food gel (optional)
...
To make the base
Step 1- Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees c and grease heart tartlet tins with coconut oil.
Step 2- In a mixing bowl, combine the plain flour, melted coconut oil and maple syrup.
Bring together with your hands until a dough forms.
Add more flour if too wet or coconut oil if too dry. You want it to be a smooth dough.
Step 3- Press the dough into the greased tins and prick the bases with a fork.
Step 4- Pop the tartlet cases into the oven and bake for 9-10 minutes until golden in colour.
Step 5- Once baked, carefully place them onto a cooling rack and allow them to cool fully before filling.
To make the filling
Step 1- Melt the chocolate along with a teaspoon of coconut oil until smooth and allow to cool.
Step 2- Place the coconut cream into a mixing bowl and add in the cooled chocolate and whisk to combine.
Step 3- Add in a dot of pink food gel to make the filling pink (optional) then divide the filling into the tartlet cases.
Smooth with a spoon or a knife.
Pop the tartlets into the fridge for 2-3 hours then serve.
Serve with fruit, vegan sprinkles, desiccated coconut, or a chocolate drizzle.
The choice is yours!!!
